I just received news that my application to become a Registered member of the Chartered Institute of Ergonomics and Human Factors has been approved first time. I am now officially a “Chartered Ergonomist & Human Factors Specialist” and add the post-nominal C.ErgHF to my name. My application included a logbook describing 15 different projects representing key Human Factors work I have carried out over the last 15 years. These projects spanned the full design development cycle from contextual analysis through to pre-validation work. I have been fortunate during my time as consultant to work on a number of different projects including a range of drug delivery devices, smart packaging, medical devices used by healthcare professionals, medical implants, smart heating controls, diagnostic devices, supermarket trolleys and medical robots. I would like to thank the people who supported my application and helped me grow as a Human Factors professional. I look forward to working with the CIEHF and developing Inspired Usability into Registered Consultancy with the CIEHF
